Description:

This beautiful small pill  box is a heavy laminate of Indian rosewood (Dalbegia Lafifolia), one of the true rosewoods.

This one is from a select and very rare piece of old growth timber, a thick veneer laminated over white aspen to create a sharp contrast.  I prefer the box bays to be light colored so pills are more easily seen.

Indian rosewood can run from a solid dark brown to distinctly striped as seen on the end pieces.

The lift handle is amboyna burl.  Finished with ten coats of high gloss urethane varnish to a gleaming finish.
