Brazilian Kingwood is a rare true rosewood of the Dalbergia species, 1/8" thick veneer is laminated on cherry base with a spalted maple burl inlay.
Top ends are another rose wood, bois de rose.
Brass hinges and an royal blue velet bottom liner. Finished with satin acrylic inside and out.
Kingwood is so dense that it does not float, so this box is rather heavy for its size.(15.6 oz.)
